Allama Iqbal International Airport – Lahore (LHE)
Allama Iqbal International Airport is one of largest and busiest airport of Pakistan and located 10.50 miles from the Lahore City in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
In 1962 Government of Pakistan announced to reconstruct and facilitate the Walton Airport and rename it as the "Allama Iqbal International Airport".
There are number of airlines operating at Allama Iqbal International Airport e.g. Air Arabia, Air Blue, Air Blue (National), Air Indus, Emirates, Vision Air International, Etihad Airways, Flynas, Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, Mihin Lanka, Oman Air, Qatar Airways, Shaheen Air, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines, UTair Aviation, and Pakistan International Airlines.
There are 3 terminals at the airport, divided into 6 lounges, and 60 boarding gates. The air traffic is operated at 2 runways. There are plenty of restaurants in the airport with an extensive menu and decent prices. The nearest hotel /restaurant are “Serena Hotel, Lahore” which is 1 mile away from the airport.
Allama Iqbal International Airport can be easily reached by taxi. Shuttle services are available too. Unfortunately, as per 2014, there is no train line or bus system nearby the airport.
