Belfast International Airport
Belfast International Airport is a major airport located 11.5 NM northwest of Belfast in Northern Ireland. It was formerly known and is still referred to as Aldergrove Airport, and the Airport code is BFS. The airfield previously shared with the Royal Air Force base RAF Aldergrove, which closed in 2008.The airport is owned by ADC & HAS. Airlines that operate out of the Airport include Aegean Airlines, BH Air, Pegasus Airlines, SunExpress etc. These airlines operate flights to Spain, Liverpool, Turkey and other destinations.
The airport has a parking for 8,000 vehicles outside the terminal building. The short-stay-and-pick-up and main car parks are located nearer to the terminal while the long-stay parking is connected with a bus link.
There are two cross runways at the Airport can handle most commercial airlines. The terminal currently has cash machines, currency exchange, the internet access, shops and restaurants.
Passengers can travel by taxi, bus or train from the airport to their destinations. A taxi ride to the city center will take around 30 mins and cost about £25. For bus hourly service through the night the 30-40 mins journey costs £7 single and £10 return. Rail is available under request.
