Benazir Bhutto International Airport – Islamabad
Benazir Bhutto International Airport is one of largest and busiest airports in Pakistan. It is located 12 miles away from Islamabad. The airport code is being known as ISB.
Benazir Bhutto International Airport also known as "Islamabad International Airport" was re-named on 21 June 2008, in the name of 11th Prime Minister of Pakistan "Benazir Bhutto".
International Airlines operating at the airport are not limited to: Air Arabia, Air-blue, Air China, Etihad Airways, Thai Airways International, United Airways, Emirates, Oman Air, Safi Airways, Shaheen Air, Turkish Airlines and Pakistan International Airlines.
Airport has one terminal divided into 3 lounges; 2 lounges for domestic and international passengers and 1 lounge for VIPs. All the lounges are facilitated with prayer areas, satellite plasma TVs, public telephone booths, ATM, duty-free shops and some fast food restaurants like Airport Café & Welfare Canteen and Serena Hotel Islamabad Cafe for Snack & Refreshment. Long-term and short-term parking is available to passengers.
Benazir Bhutto International Airport can be easily reached from Islamabad by taxi, the journey will take approximately 30 minutes and cost €8. Shuttle service is available outside of the arrivals. As per 2014, no train or bus lines operate journeys to and from the airport.
