El Dorado International Airport - Bogotá (BOG)
El Dorado International Airport is one of the busiest airports in Colombia.
Airport was opened on 3 September 1932 for military purposes. In 1959 civil aviation started to use its field and airport was opened for public during the General Gustavo Rojas Pinilla's Government with all the latest communication systems, runways, terminals and taxiways.
Airlines that operate at the El Dorado International Airport include: Air France, American Airlines, Avianca, Avianca Brazil, AeroMéxico, Copa Airlines Colombia, KLM, LAN Colombia, Satena, Viva Colombia and Air Canada.
Airport has two terminals and 32 boarding gates. All the terminals are facilitated with public telephone booths, ATM, duty-free shops and some fast food restaurants. Long-term and short-term parking is provided. For long and short stays Hotel Habitel or Embassy Park hotel may be of interest to tourists.
Airport can be easily reached public bus lines. Bus stop (Paradero) is situated only few meters walk from the airport and public bus is the cheapest way to travel in Bogota. Taxis are available too but these cost little extra than buses.
