Entebbe International Airport
Entebbe International Airport lies 4 kilometers southwest of small town Entebbe on the banks of Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Uganda and whole Africa. The airport code is known as EBB.
The airport was founded in 1928 and officially reopened in 1935 after severe renovation. One of the main events in airport’s history occurred in 1952 when Queen Elizabeth II had a flight back to London.
Entebbe International Airport’s traffic is created by 20 domestic and international air carriers such as KLM, British Airways, Emirates and Turkish Airways. National airline Air Uganda based in Entebbe Airport operate scheduled flights to central and Eastern Africa.
The airport has international and domestic terminal established on the place of old buildings.
