Luang Prabang International Airport is located 4 miles north from the City Centre of Luang Prabang, Capital of Lao Kingdom.
Airport is one of the few airports in Lao. A bunch of national & international airlines is operating at Luang Prabang International Airport: Bangkok Airways (Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi), China Eastern Airlines (Kunming), Lao Airlines (Vientiane, Ban Hat Tai, Pakse, Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Jinghong, Seoul-Incheon, Siem Reap), Lao Central Airlines (Vientiane), Thai Smile (Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi) and Vietnam Airlines (Hanoi, Siem Reap).
Airport has one runway and one terminal building and gives services for international & domestic flights. Airport was facilitated with boarding gates, VIP lounges, public telephone booths, ATM, duty-free shops, money exchange counters and some fast food restaurants. Hotels that are placed in a closest proximity to the airport include: "Hotel de la Paix Luang Prabang" and "Le Bel Air Boutique Resort & Villa".
Luang Prabang International Airport can be easily reached by taxi within 25 minutes and at a cost €5. Shuttle services are available to and from resorts. Unfortunately, no train line or bus system is nearby to the airport so taxi and tuk-tuks are the convenient means of transportation to get to or from.
