Rotterdam The Hague Airport
The Rotterdam The Hague Airport is located 5.6 km from Rotterdam in the Netherlands and it’s the third biggest airport in the country. It was built after the destruction of Waal haven airport during the Second World War. It was opened in October 1956.
The airport has one runway whereby Runway 1 measures about 7218ft serving about 1.3 million travelers per year mostly in Europe and other vacation destinations.
It has one terminal which offers facilities inclusive but not limited to ATMs (a bureau de change is also there), food cafes, duty free stores, conference and business facilities, car rentals, car park and hotels.
Several travel agents are also located there. The airport serves different clientele i.e. business aviation, military aviation, and passenger travel. Several large international airlines such as Swissair, Lufthansa and Air France are the major airlines here.
From the airport one can choose to use either the bus (airport shuttle) or a taxi.
