Stockholm Arlanda Airport is situated in Sweden (Sigtuna Municipality) near Marsta 23 miles from Stockholm city. It was used for the first time in 1959 for practice only but opened in 1960 for small traffic.
It has three runways. It accommodates four terminals (terminal 2&5 are for international flights while 3&4 for local ones). It is in the terminal area where there is the shopping area (sky city) with restaurants, bars and so on. Short and long term parking is also available.
It operates in various routes internationally with major airlines like Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Air shuttles with routes from Air China to Beijing, Qatar Airways to Doha and others.
From the airport, one can access the city by either train which is the fastest (38 minutes travel), or bus and taxi.
