Viru Viru International Airport is located 20 miles from the City Centre of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
Airport was built to replace the El Trompillo Airport in 1983. Viru Viru International Airport is one of busiest and largest airports in Bolivia. There are more than 50 airlines operating via Viru Viru International Airport e.g.: Aerolíneas Argentinas, American Airlines, Amaszonas, Air Europa, TAM Airlines Paraguay and Copa Airlines.
Airport has one runway and one terminal building which are facilitated with boarding gates, VIP lounges, public telephone booths, ATMs, duty-free shops, money exchange counters and some fast food restaurants (e.g. “Cinnabon Coffee & Tea”).
